As an Advisor/Counselor, you’re able to review and update your student's BridgeU accounts to support them throughout the application process.
Please keep in mind that any changes made, including edits to a student’s lists — will be visible to the student. We encourage taking a moment to review updates before saving, to ensure everything is accurate and aligned with the student’s plans.
How to Access a Student’s Account
Please follow the steps below to access and view a student’s account:
Step 1: Navigate to the Students page, select or search for a relevant student, and within their student details page click the pink profile icon labelled “View student account” located in the top-right corner of the student profile.
Step 2: You are now viewing (impersonating) the student’s account and can navigate the platform as the student.
If you wish to return to your Advisor view at any time, click “Back to student details page” in the top-right corner.
When impersonating a student's account, please be aware of the following limitations:
Assessments: Advisors cannot complete an assessment on behalf of a student. The student must log in and complete it themselves. You can still view any completed assessment reports.
Common App pairing: Advisors cannot pair a Common App account for a student. The student must log in to complete this step independently.
All other features and actions remain accessible while impersonating the student’s account.
