What does 'payment scheduled' mean?

Booking payment status — a deposit was paid and Brindlechute has automatically scheduled the remaining balance to charge later.

Definition:
This status indicates that the client has paid a deposit, and Brindlechute has automatically scheduled the remaining balance to charge later.

Example:
The client pays $100 on a $500 booking. The remaining $400 is scheduled for later. The status will read “Payment Scheduled.”

Details:

  • Only applies if a deposit has been paid.

  • If the client pays in full up front, this status is skipped.

  • Brindlechute auto-schedules follow-up charges so you don’t have to manage them manually.

Where You’ll See It:

  • In the Bookings tab

  • In the booking detail view

If you need to collect that balance differently

The scheduled payment is locked to the method used for the deposit. To charge a different card, take an offline payment, or split the balance across methods, cancel the scheduled payment first — on the booking's Audit trail tab, under the Payments filter — then use Collect Payment.
