If your organization runs trips across states with different tax rules, you can override your default sales tax per experience or add-on.
Start by setting your general sales tax under Fee Settings — this applies to all experiences by default. Article on how to do this here: Click here
To override an experience tax rate:
Go to Experiences and click Edit next to the one you want to adjust.
Scroll to the Pricing section and find Sales Tax Override.
Toggle Override On and enter the custom rate for that experience.
Click Save & Next at the top of the page, then Update Experience.
To override an add-on tax rate:
Go to Add-Ons and click Edit.
Set or confirm the Default Price.
Enter the custom tax rate specific to that add-on.
For example, you may have a 0% rate for one state and 6% for another.
Click Save Add-On when finished.
When invoicing clients, Brindlechute automatically calculates the correct “Tax to be Collected” for both the experience and any add-ons. Wondering what will show on the invoice? click here
