Your experiences use the sales tax rules set in Fee Settings. But sometimes an experience needs special treatment—like removing a lodging tax or applying fewer taxes. That’s where the sales tax override comes in.
Steps to override sales tax:
From your Dashboard, click Experiences.
Select the experience you want to edit.
Scroll down to the Sales Tax section.
Toggle Override to turn on custom tax settings.
You can remove any tax categories that don’t apply to this experience, adjust the tax rate just for this experience, or add a new sales tax if needed.
Click Save & Next at the top of the page to continue, then click Update Experience to save your changes.
That’s it! Your experience will now use its own custom sales tax rules, and clients will see the correct tax breakdown on their invoice. This is especially handy when certain trips or offerings are taxed differently than the rest.
