How Seasonal Settings Work

Seasonal settings use three layers — a system-wide default, per-experience rules, and date exceptions — to give you broad control with room to customize.

Brindlechute applies seasonal settings in layers:

  1. System default — applies to all experiences unless overridden. Set this for rules that are true across most of your operation, like blocking off a month you don't run trips.

  2. Experience rules — each experience can have its own seasonal settings that override the system default. Experiences without their own rules follow the system default.

  3. Exceptions — specific dates that override everything above them. Use these for one-off closures or changes that don't fit your regular seasonal rules.

To configure the system default and exceptions, see How Availability Settings and Additional Slots Work in Manage Online Booking.

To set seasonal rules for a specific experience, see Configuring Seasonal Settings for an Experience.
