How to Pay for a Booking with Wallet Credit

Pay for a booking with credit from a client's wallet, from your dashboard or by the client on their invoice.

Use wallet credit to pay for a booking when a client has credit in their wallet, for example from a refund, a top-up, or credit you issued. You can collect the payment from your dashboard, or the client can choose Wallet when they pay their invoice.

How to pay with wallet credit from your dashboard

  1. Find the booking you want to collect payment for:

    • From Bookings: click Bookings in the left sidebar, then click the booking to open it.

    • From the Trip calendar: click Trip calendar in the left sidebar, click the trip, then click Manage booking in the pop-up.

  2. Scroll down to Payments Due and click Collect payment.

  3. Under Payment plan, select Pay deposit only, Pay in full, or Partial payment. If you select Partial payment, enter the Amount to take from the wallet.

  4. Under Select a client to charge, select the client whose wallet you want to use.

  5. Under Select payment method, select Wallet. The client's wallet balance shows on the option, for example Wallet ($2.00).

  6. Click Confirm.

How clients pay with wallet credit on their invoice

  1. On their invoice, the client completes any steps before payment (if enabled), such as trip questions and waivers.

  2. In the Payment step, they select Pay deposit only or Pay in full.

  3. Under Select payment method, they select Wallet. Their wallet balance shows on the option, for example Wallet ($157.50).

  4. They click Confirm & Pay.

If the client pays only the deposit, the rest of the balance isn't collected automatically. Collect it separately when it's due.

After the payment

The amount is taken from the client's wallet balance and appears in the timeline on the Wallet tab of their profile.

Good to know

  • An empty wallet can't be selected. If the client's wallet balance is $0.00, the Wallet option is greyed out.

  • The wallet must cover the payment. If the wallet holds less than the amount being charged, a warning shows how much the wallet holds, for example The wallet only holds $475.00, and Confirm stays greyed out. Choose another payment method, or select Partial payment, enter an amount the wallet can cover, then collect the rest another way. Clients see the same warning on their invoice.

  • Wallet payments can't be scheduled. Wallet isn't available with payment plans that schedule future payments, because only cards and bank accounts can be scheduled.

  • You can pay from another client's wallet. The wallet used is the one belonging to the client selected under Select a client to charge. For example, a parent can pay for their child's booking from their own wallet.
