If you already have access to your Google Developer Account (GDA) and Apple Developer Account, you can track the number of app downloads directly through each platform.

Google Play (GDA)

  1. Log into your Google Play Console and select your branded app from the list.

  2. From the left-hand menu, click Statistics.

  3. Remove any pre-selected countries (click the ❌ next to them) and select the timeframe you want to analyze.

  4. Under Users > User acquisition > New users, you’ll see:

    1. New user installs → the number of first-time downloads. In the Configure report section Change the view to Cumulative under Metric calculation and click Save.

    2. Total installs → the overall number of downloads (including re-installs).

👉 You should use: per interval (to see raw numbers).

⚠️ Avoid using 30 days rolling average for reporting installs/downloads, since it’s designed more for trend analysis and won’t give you the real totals.

  5. You can also export the data as a CSV file for time-series analysis.

Apple App Store (ADP)

  1. Select your branded app.

  2. In the Metrics section, click Total Downloads on the right-hand side.

  3. Select the timeframe you want to analyze.

  4. Export the data in CSV format if needed.

📌 Note: Data may take up to 24 hours to update.
