Stripe verification required — what to do before July 16

Stripe needs updated information from your studio before July 16, 2026. Here's exactly what to do — it only takes a few minutes.

Why am I seeing this?

Stripe — our payment provider — needs studios to confirm or update their business information before July 16, 2026. This is a standard verification required across all of Europe as part of new financial regulations.

It's quick to complete, and doing it now means your payments keep running without interruption. 👍

⚠️ If you don't complete this before July 16, your payouts (money transferred to your bank) and card payments may be paused until the verification is done.

What do I need to update?

When you log in, a pop-up will show you exactly what's missing. It will be one or more of the following:

  • Your IBAN / bank account — the account where bsport sends your payouts

  • Business profile — your company activity, website, or support contact

  • Company tax ID — your SIRET, VAT number, or equivalent

  • Business verification document — a document proving your company exists (see examples below)

  • Legal representative information — the name and ID of the person legally responsible for the business

How do I do it?

The steps depend on what's missing:

📋 If you need to add or update your IBAN

This is handled directly in bsport — no need to go to Stripe.

  1. Log in to your bsport dashboard

  2. Click "Update my settings" in the pop-up

  3. Go to Settings → Company

  4. Enter your bank account details (IBAN)

  5. Save — done! ✅

📋 If you need to update business information or documents

This is handled on Stripe's side. Don't worry — it's a straightforward form.

  1. Log in to your bsport dashboard

  2. Click "Update my information on Stripe" in the pop-up

  3. You'll be redirected to a secure Stripe page

  4. Fill in the required fields and/or upload your documents

  5. Submit — Stripe will review and confirm within a few minutes to a few hours

  6. The pop-up will disappear from your dashboard once Stripe confirms ✅

What documents are accepted?

Here are examples of documents Stripe may ask for, depending on your business type:

For the business verification document:

  • 🇫🇷 France: Extrait Kbis (less than 3 months old)

  • 🇩🇪 Germany: Handelsregisterauszug

  • 🇪🇸 Spain: Certificado de situación censal

  • 🇬🇧 UK: Companies House registration

  • 🇮🇹 Italy: Visura camerale

  • Other countries: an official document from your company registry or tax authority confirming your business exists

For the legal representative:

  • A valid passport or national ID card of the person who is the legal representative of the company (usually the director or owner)

💡 Tip: Have your documents ready before starting — it makes the process much faster.

FAQ

The pop-up disappeared — did my update go through?

Yes! If the pop-up is gone, Stripe has confirmed your information is up to date. No further action needed.

The pop-up is still showing after I submitted my documents

Stripe sometimes takes a little time to process submissions. If your account shows "under review", your documents have been received and are being checked. The pop-up will disappear automatically once confirmed — usually within a few hours.

I don't see the pop-up anymore but I haven't done anything

It's possible your information was already complete, or that you have an immunity period active. If you're unsure, check with our support team.
