On-Demand

This article cover On-Demand in the new back office.

On-Demand is where you manage the videos and eBooks your studio sells or rents to members. It has two tabs — Library, for individual videos and eBooks, and Collections, for grouping them into curated sets.

This is the first version — more updates are coming, and the new Back Office is being rolled out in stages through the rest of the year.

Terminology update: On-Demand was previously called Videos & eBooks (also referred to as VOD). Collections were previously called Playlists. This article uses the new terms throughout.

Library

Go to Products > On-Demand > Library. Offerings are listed in a full-width table with top-bar filters (Level, Category, search) and columns for title, teacher, category, duration, and tags.

Each row has a 3-dot menu with Edit, Duplicate, and Delete, plus a separate Add media action to attach the actual content: YouTube (embed link), Vimeo (embed link), or eBook (PDF, JPG, or PNG).

To create a new offering, click Create on-demand, fill in the panel — Level, Teacher, Price/Credits, and Availability (including rental settings) — and save. Then add media to it separately, the same two-step logic as before: create the offering first, attach the content after.

Collections

Go to Products > On-Demand > Collections. Click Create collection to set a cover image, title, and description. Click OPEN on any card to reach its detail page: a hero image and description on the left, an ordered video list on the right (thumbnail, title, duration, teacher), and an Add a video action to pull in existing on-demand videos.

What's new

  • Redesigned Library list: full-width table with visible columns, replacing the old sidebar-plus-list layout

  • Row actions consolidated into a 3-dot menu (Edit, Duplicate, Delete), with Add media as a separate action

  • Availability panel restructured with clear grouping — Level, Teacher, Price/Credits, Availability — including a new description field for rental offerings

  • Collections detail page is new: split hero-image-plus-video-list layout that didn't exist before

  • Playlists renamed to Collections throughout

What hasn't changed yet

  • Bulk actions (bulk delete, bulk publish) aren't available in the Library list yet

  • Video duration isn't auto-detected from the uploaded file yet

  • Reordering videos within a Collection isn't supported — order follows the sequence videos were added

  • Editing a Collection's title or description is only possible via the edit icon on its card, not from the detail page

Common questions

Can I still set a video as "unavailable for purchase" while keeping it visible?
Yes. The checkbox hides the video from purchase for members, but it remains visible to managers and to members who already have access.

Can I add a video to a collection that hasn't been uploaded to On-Demand yet?
No — a video must first be uploaded on the On-Demand page before it can be added to a Collection.

How do I change the order of videos in a collection?
Order is currently set by when videos were added. Manual reordering isn't available yet.
