Client Display settings

This article is a guide to the Client Display setting on the New Back Office

ℹ️ This article will be updated as we release more improvements over the coming months.

Client Display brings together the settings that control what clients see and how they book, on your Client website and Branded app. It replaces the previous Personalisation page and the Member profile tab, which are no longer available separately.

Where to find it: Go to Settings > Website & App > Client Display.

Overview

Client Display has three tabs:

  • Website, App & Tablet — calendar display, booking, checkout, and client account settings, grouped by which surfaces they affect

  • Booking rules — guest bookings, booking limits, and attendance rules

  • Teacher app — attendance and privacy settings for your teachers

The tab name and the groups inside Website, App & Tablet adjust automatically based on your studio's setup. If you don't have the Branded app or a Check-in tablet, you won't see those sections, and the tab name shortens to reflect what you actually have (for example, just "Website" if you have neither).

Website, App & Tablet

Company colours

Previously found under Settings > General.

Setting

What it does

Primary colour

Sets your studio's main colour, shown across the Client website and Branded app.

Secondary colour

Sets your studio's secondary colour, shown alongside the primary colour.

This used to also control the Back Office theme. That's not customisable yet, so for now it only affects the Client website and Branded app.

Website only

These settings affect your Client website only.

Calendar & class display

Setting

What it does

Show cancelled classes

Keeps cancelled classes visible on the calendar, labeled as cancelled.

Show past classes

Lets clients scroll back to classes that already happened.

Show workshops

Shows workshops alongside regular classes on the calendar.

Open on today's date in week view

Opens the calendar on today's date instead of the start of the week, in week view.

Day format

Chooses how day names appear: full name (Monday), 3 letters (Mon), or 1 letter (M).

Display activity colour

Shows each activity's colour tag on class cards.

Hide tag-restricted classes

Hides classes a client can't access by tag, instead of showing them as unavailable.

Visitors who aren't logged in yet may still see a tag-restricted class, since eligibility can't be checked before sign-in. It disappears once they log in if they don't qualify.

Booking & products

Setting

What it does

Hide Book button

Removes the Book button from class cards. Clients tap the card itself to start the same booking flow.

Product display order

Sets the display order for passes, packs, and memberships in the booking funnel. Includes a reset-to-default option.

Checkout

Setting

What it does

Express checkout

Lets a new client buy a pass and book in one flow, without creating an account first. Their account is created automatically afterward.

Email confirmation at sign-up

Requires clients to confirm their email before their account is active.

Clear abandoned carts after

Automatically clears unpaid cart items after a set number of days.

After email confirmation

Sends clients to a custom URL after they confirm their email. Only shown when email confirmation is on.

After password reset

Sends clients to a custom URL after they reset their password, instead of the Client website default.

Express checkout and email confirmation at sign-up can't both be on. Turning one on automatically turns the other off.

Client accounts

Previously the Member profile tab.

Setting

What it does

Show account balance

Shows a member's account balance on their profile.

Show barcode button

Adds a barcode button to a member's profile for check-in scanning.

Show client reference number

Shows a client's reference number on their profile.

Website and app

These settings affect both your Client website and Branded app.

Calendar & class display

Setting

What it does

Show bookings and remaining spots

Shows how many spots are booked and how many are left on class cards.

Time shown per class

Chooses what class cards show: end time, start time only, or duration.

Display venue

Shows the venue on class cards. Useful for multi-location studios.

Display level

Shows the class difficulty level on class cards.

Show gender split

Shows how many men and women are already booked into a class. This only displays counts — it doesn't limit anything. To cap bookings by gender ratio, use Automatically manage gender ratio per class on the Booking rules tab.

Teacher display

Setting

What it does

Hide teacher info

Removes the coach's name and photo from class cards.

Teacher info display

Chooses how coach info appears: full name with photo, first name only, first name with photo, or full name without photo. Only shown when teacher info isn't hidden.

Booking & products

Setting

What it does

Label free classes

Adds a FREE badge to classes that cost 0 credits.

Show credit cost on class cards

Shows how many credits a class costs, right on the class card. Turn this off and clients only see the cost after opening the class.

Hide credit amounts on passes

Hides how many credits a pass includes, on the pass card and everywhere else a client would see it.

Hide already-owned products

Hides passes, subscriptions, and packs a member already owns from the booking funnel.

Account & membership

Setting

What it does

Enable members to cancel their own memberships

Members can cancel their own membership without contacting the studio.

If your studio is part of a franchise and managed by a Central Account, this setting follows the Central Account's choice and can't be changed here. You'll see it disabled with "Managed by your Central Account."

bsport app

Only shown if your studio has the bsport app.

Setting

What it does

Display your studio on the bsport app

Makes your studio discoverable in the bsport app, the shared app used by clients across multiple studios, including in search and nearby results. Doesn't affect your Client website — existing clients can always find and book with you there regardless of this setting.

Tablet

Only shown if your studio has a Check-in tablet. Previously called "Kiosk."

Setting

What it does

Keep past classes visible for

Sets how long a class stays visible on the check-in tablet after it starts.

Booking rules

Guests & double booking

Setting

What it does

Allow booking for a guest

Lets a member bring a non-member guest by booking on their behalf.

Max guest bookings per client

Caps how many guest bookings a member can make, and how often — for example, 2 times per month.

Accept double booking for group classes

Lets a member book two overlapping group classes at once.

Accept double booking for workshops

Same, for workshops. Set independently from group classes.

Guest booking is only available on certain plans. If it's not included in yours, you won't see these settings.

Booking limits

Setting

What it does

Limit future bookings per client: group classes

Caps how many upcoming group class bookings a member can hold at once.

Limit future bookings per client: workshops

Same cap, for workshops. Set independently.

Count waitlist spots toward the limit

Counts joining a waitlist against the booking limits above.

Automatically manage gender ratio per class

Blocks bookings that would push a class's gender split past the limit you set, once bookings hit your threshold.

Start checking gender balance after

Starts checking the gender balance once a class has this many bookings.

Maximum gender imbalance allowed

Blocks any further booking that would push the imbalance past this number, once the check above is active.

Attendance & no-shows

Setting

What it does

Default attendance status on booking

Sets whether a new booking starts as Absent or Present.

Mark as no-show after

Sets how long after roll call an absent member is confirmed as a no-show and penalized.

Send warning email after

Sends a warning email before the no-show is confirmed.

This section only appears once one of your passes is set to penalise no-shows. If you don't see it yet, go to Passes to set that up.

Schedule

Setting

What it does

Visible time range

Sets the hours shown on your Schedule page in the Back Office.

This setting is here temporarily. It'll move to the Calendar page in a future release.

Teacher app

Setting

What it does

Allow teachers to edit attendance

Lets a teacher mark members present or absent from their own Teacher app.

Hide client contact info from teachers

Hides a member's phone number and email from a teacher's private booking calendar.

This tab is here temporarily, until teacher-facing settings have their own home.

Common questions

Where did the Personalisation page go?

It's been replaced by Client Display, along with the old Member profile tab. All the same settings are here, reorganised by what they affect.

Why can't I see the Tablet or bsport app sections?

These only appear if your studio uses a Check-in tablet or the bsport app. If you don't use one, that section is hidden rather than shown empty.

Why is "Enable members to cancel their own memberships" greyed out?

This happens if your studio is a Sub-Account managed by a Central Account in a franchise. The setting follows the Central Account's choice.
