If you want your subscriptions to be billed on a fixed day (every 1st of the month for example), follow this help sheet which explains how it works in detail.

Step 1: Create a subscription of this type

Go to the Subscriptions page > Add a subscription :

In the creation form, you can choose between two types of billing:

  • based on the subscribing date (offers a greater possibility of frequency)

  • based on a fixed day (monthly frequency)

In this case, choose the second option and indicate the day of the month for which you wish to invoice.

If you choose the 29th, 30th or 31st of the month, the invoices will be shifted to the last day of the month for shorter months.

Step 2: Subscribe a member

From the Members page, you can then subscribe a member to this new subscription.

You can choose the start date: if it does not correspond to the billing date, the first payment will be taken in proportion to the days remaining before the next billing compared to the total number of days in the month.

⚠️ The member will however have all the credits of the first month (but less time to use them)

Once the subscription has been created, you will be able to check that all the following invoices are on the correct day:

For members, information about this type of subscription and the first month's prorata, if any, will be displayed as follows:

Unlike the other billing type, a member cannot choose the start date of their subscription: it is set to the current date.

Step 3: Limitation of modification

Once the subscription is created, it is not possible to change its billing type:

For fixed day billing, it is possible to change the billing day. However, the change will only apply to new subscriptions: existing subscriptions will keep their original billing day, even after automatic renewal.

Moreover, it is not possible to change the billing day from a member's subscription details.

Step 4: Unable to pause

Please note that with this type of subscription, it is not possible to pause the subscription.
