Becoming a sitter on Bubble is simple. Follow the steps below to get started:
1. Download the app
Download the Bubble app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and create your account.
2. Complete your onboarding
Once registered, you’ll be guided through Bubble’s onboarding process via our portal. This includes:
An identity check
A right-to-work check (for non-UK passport holders)
A reference check
Identity check
If you’re a British or Irish citizen, you’ll need one of the following:
A British passport
An Irish passport or passport card
You’ll be asked to upload three photos:
A photo of your ID
A head and shoulders photo of you
A photo showing both you and your ID in the same frame
Please make sure:
The document is clearly legible
All edges of the ID are visible within the frame
Right to work (non-UK passport holders)
If you don’t hold a UK passport, you’ll need to complete a Right to Work check. This will be used to check that you have the right to be self employed in the UK.
This requires a RTW share code, which you can add after uploading your ID. If you don't have one, you can request one here.
Please ensure your share code is valid and in date, or it will be rejected.
Reference check
You’ll need two written character references from a colleague, employer, or educator. We can’t approve your account without them.
Please ask for permission from your referees before providing their details.
Important notes:
References must be character references, not factual references
Referees must know you in a professional setting
Friends or family members cannot provide references
All referee contact fields must be completed, including a mobile number and email address
Misleading or illegitimate references will be rejected and may result in permanent access removal from the app
Approval and getting started
Once all onboarding steps are complete and both references have responded, we’ll review your profile. We aim to review sitter accounts within 5 working days. Make sure you've submitted everything correctly to speed up this process!
After your profile is activated:
Local parents can send you booking requests via the app
You’re free to accept or decline bookings
Payments are handled securely through the app
