If I apply for a booking request, how will I know if I get it?
Once you’ve applied for a booking request, it’s down to the parent to pick a babysitter and confirm them. You'll be able to see requests you've applied for in the Applications tab. The app will send you a push notification and confirmation email if the parent confirms the sit with you.
A new request I received is now not showing up in my app. What happened?
If you can no longer see a new request on your homepage, it means that it’s no longer available or that another sitter was already booked for it. If you applied for it, you may still be able to see this request in your Applications tab under 'No longer available'.
What if I apply for a booking request but then can no longer do it?
At any point after applying for a job, you can withdraw your application from the Applications tab. You can do this by either tapping on the booking request and tapping Withdraw at the bottom, or by swiping the request on the Applications tab and tapping Withdraw.
If I’ve applied for a job, can I still get other job offers too?
Yes. You can continue to apply for other requests until you’ve been confirmed for one of them. As soon as you’ve been booked by a parent, the app automatically withdraws you from any booking requests you’ve applied for that would clash with the confirmed one, so that you can’t be double booked.
Do I still need to set my availability in the app?
Yes! The app is designed to send more requests to the babysitters who keep their availability up to date. And you still need to keep your availability up to date if you want parents to request you directly.
How do I boost my chances of getting these requests?
You will receive more requests if you regularly keep your availability up to date and respond quickly to all requests you receive. The app automatically prioritises babysitters who do this.
Babysitters with a personal connection to the parent (either directly or via mutual friends) are more likely to get confirmed.
