Bubble connects families with trusted, high-quality babysitters in their local community. Every connection and booking is built on trust, and parents are welcoming you into their homes and placing their children in your care.
To protect that trust and ensure the highest standards across our community, all sitters on Bubble are expected to follow the guidelines below.
Kindness and care:
When babysitting, please perform your duties with 100% dedication to the child and job in hand, ensuring you do everything in your power to protect the safety and welfare of the children in your care.
Treat every child and family with kindness and care, creating a positive and safe environment. All users must adhere to our Anti-Discrimination Policy at all times and respect cultural, religious, and family practices.
Punctuality:
Please arrive for the job on time, and in the event of an unforeseen circumstance that means you’re running late, do everything in your power to inform the parent, with as much notice as possible.
Plan your journey to the booking in advance, allowing extra time for possible delays such as strikes or traffic disruptions.
Reliability:
Only put yourself forward for jobs that you know you are 100% able to commit to. Unless it’s an emergency, please don’t cancel a confirmed sit. Doing so may impact on your ability to apply for further jobs.
Honesty and boundaries :
Please be honest and show integrity in all of your interactions with other Bubble users and the Bubble team app itself. This includes the information you provide on your profile.
Only babysit for parents you initially met via Bubble on the app itself and do not participate in future sits with them “off-app".
Do not invite visitors, friends, or partners to a booking.
Communication:
Communicate kindly and proactively with parents before, during and after your sit with them. This includes requests you may have for additional information on routines, allergies or other special instructions.
Updates when you leave for the booking are a great idea, as well as keeping the parent up to date with how things are going during the sit, such as when the child has eaten dinner or gone to sleep.
Digital conduct and device use:
Keep personal device use to a minimum while supervising children and do not wear headphones during a sit
Never take photos, videos or post content online or on social media of a booking, the children you look after or inside family homes. Booking information should not be used for content creation or personal promotion without explicit consent from parents.
Health and Safety
Never consume alcohol or illegal drugs before or during a sit
If you have a health issue or other personal circumstances that may affect your ability to care for children safely, you should discuss this with parents in advance of accepting a booking
Leave the family's home tidy, clean and as it was found
Know the location of any emergency medication and be prepared to cater for dietary requirements

Only accept bookings that you feel fully capable of completing. If a booking requires experience or skills you do not have, such as caring for newborns or children with additional needs it is perfectly acceptable to decline. Declining a job for legitimate reason will never negatively impact your account on Bubble and you always have total control over the bookings you apply for and accept.
Stay safe: try a pre-meet in a local coffee shop or park, a video before the first booking so everyone feels confident with the arrangement, share your booking details with someone you trust, trust your instincts and report anything that doesn't feel right to Bubble. Sitters will never be penalised for declining a booking or cancelling if they don't feel safe.
