The sitters on Bubble are an incredibly diverse and talented group of people, and parents can tap into that and book them for other types of help, aside from childcare.

This can be found through our Tasks service, which can be found at the bottom of our Services screen.

With Tasks, parents can send a request for tasks they need doing, for local sitters on Bubble to apply to, with the peace of mind of the usual vetting and family reviews have taken place. It is mandatory for these job types to have Instructions for the booking as they can vary so much.

Families can request a specific person or see who applies.

The task jobs are then booked and paid for through the app, very much like how a typical Bubble babysitting booking works.

There is no pre-defined list of tasks that a parent can request, but some examples of the types of jobs parents book using our Helpr feature are:

Sitters on Bubble get the chance to opt into these types of requests inside of their app. If they've opted in, they’ll receive these requests and be able to apply. As usual, on Bubble, parents then get the option of reviewing their profiles, reviews and chatting to any applicant before booking their favourite.

For now, the jobs operate on a per-hour basis, using the sitter’s standard babysitting rate, however, it’s very easy for parents and sitters to discuss alternative arrangements via the app, and then account for them on the job receipt before paying at the end.
