Nanny Cams and Home Security
Updated over a week ago

Safety and happiness is at the core of everything we do at Bubble, so we understand that some parents may choose to use cameras in their homes while a sitter or nanny is with their little ones, for peace of mind.

Under UK law, it is legal to use cameras in your home for monitoring the activities of your sitter and ensuring your child's safety. However, please ensure that you inform your sitter about the presence of any surveillance devices and cameras in your home.

Before accepting a sitter or while discussing the role with an applicant, please inform the sitter about the use of cameras and obtain consent, as well as disclosing the locations of the cameras around the home. Most of your sitters on the app will understand why these are being used and will be happy to proceed with the booking, but some may prefer not to go ahead with it.

Cameras should not be placed in private areas such as bathrooms or bedrooms used by the sitter or nanny, and footage captured should only be used for the intended purpose.

Bubble always promotes open and honest communication about this to maintain a respectful relationship between parents and sitters.

If you have any questions on this please feel free to reach out to our support team at support@joinbubble.com.
