Updated over a week ago

As you get ready for your first Petcare booking on Bubble, take a look over these tips we've put together to ensure that both you and your new furry friend have a wonderful first booking!

1. Build your Profile

Create a new profile that showcases your love for pets in your bio, your experience, Your profile helps pet parents to make informed decisions when choosing a sitter, so be sure to make yours stand out!

Find more information about building your profile here.

2. Communicate well

Asking questions shows the pet parent that you’re organised and invested in the booking going well, and helps you to become an even better sitter. Find some useful questions to ask here.

Try to respond as soon as you can to messages - clear and prompt communication helps to build trust with pet parents, leading to great reviews and more bookings!

3. Get kitted out, or ask the pet parent where things are kept

Pets require all sorts of supplies, such as food, water bowls, toys, and dog waste bags. Being well-prepared ensures that you can provide the best care possible and keep your new furry friend safe and happy. Make sure you know how to work a lead before going out for a walk and ensure that water bowls are always full.

Top tip: Pet parents will usually supply dog waste bags, but it's handy to keep one or two in your pocket for emergencies!

4. Be patient

Every pet is different, and each booking will comes with its own set of challenges. Being calm and flexible with a new pet will help you to develop a relationship, especially when you're meeting particularly shy, energetic, or anxious pets.

Good luck from the Bubble team! We’re sure you’ll have a great booking, whether it's a walk, stay or a regular sit, but feel free to reach out to support@joinbubble.com if you have any questions.
