How to set up the Price Rules

We're pleased to announce the addition of Price Rules to Bukku, a highly sought after feature requested by our users. With Price Rules, you will be able to:

  • Create price levels and then later assign it to your customers, for example:

    • Dealer Price

    • VIP Price

  • Set special price for your products based on the price levels, such as:

    • Standard Price: RM25.99/unit.

    • VIP Price: RM23.99/unit.

    • Dealer Price: RM21.99/unit.

  • Set different prices for your customers or suppliers:

    • Standard Purchase Price: RM8.99/unit.

    • Supplier A's Price: RM8.55/unit.

    • Supplier B's Price: RM8.30/unit.

  • Set promotional price based on date ranges, for example:

    • Double-eleven promotion at RM19.99/unit between 08/11/2021 and 11/11/2021.

  • Set tiered discounted price based on number of quantity purchased by customer, eg:

    • Standard Price: RM25.99/unit.

    • Purchasing more than 10 items: RM24.99/unit.

    • Purchasing more than 20 items: RM23.99/unit.

  • Set a fixed sale / purchase price in foreign currency.

    • Standard Purchase Price in MYR: RM8.99/unit.

    • Purchase Price in SGD: S$2.88/unit.

    • Purchase Price in USD: US$1.80/unit.

  • Or a combination of any points mentioned above!

Creating New Price Levels

Price level allows you to set special price to a group of customers / supplier.

  1. Navigate to menu Control Panel -> Price Levels.

  2. Click on + New button on the top right.

  3. Enter the price level name and click Save.

Assigning Price Level to Contact

Each contact can be assigned with a price level depending on their grouping / status, such as Dealer Price / VIP Price.

  1. Select the Price Level from the dropdown when creating / updating a contact.

  2. Click Save.

Set Special Price for a Price Level

You may set special price based on price level for your products.

  1. View one of your products from Products -> Items.

  2. Click on the Customer Prices tab (Or Supplier Prices).

  3. Click on + New Price.

  4. Select your price level, such as VIP Price

  5. Enter the special price, say MYR 23.99.

  6. Click Save.

Once the price is saved, issuing invoice to the customer assigned with VIP Price price level will have the product price set to RM23.99/unit automatically.

Set a Specific Price for a Customer / Supplier

This feature is particularly useful especially when you are dealing with multiple suppliers, each of them offering you a slightly different price.

  1. View one of your products from Products -> Items.

  2. Click on the Supplier Prices tab.

  3. Click on + New Price.

  4. Select the Contact (Supplier) from the list, for example Supplier A.

  5. Enter the supplier's price, say MYR 8.55.

  6. Click Save.

Once this is saved, recording a bill from Supplier A will have the product price set to RM8.55 automatically instead of the standard price.

Setting Promotional Price

You can easily set a promotional price for a period so that your customer get to enjoy a special price during that period.

  1. View one of your products from Products -> Items.

  2. Click on the Customer Prices tab.

  3. Click on + New Price.

  4. Select the date period, such as 08/11 - 11/11.

  5. Click Save.

Once saved, any sales raised during the said period will have it's price set to RM19.99 instead of the standard price.

Setting Tiered Discount Prices

You can set tiered discount prices to encourage your customers to buy more!

  1. View one of your products from Products -> Items.

  2. Click on the Customer Prices tab.

  3. Click on + New Price multiple times, depending on your number of tiers.

  4. Update the Min Qty (minimum quantity) and the Unit Price, such as:

  5. Click Save.

Once the minimum quantity is fulfilled in one of your sales, the unit price will be updated automatically!

Setting Fixed Price for Overseas Suppliers (Foreign Currency)

Recording bills from overseas suppliers can be taunting especially when you need to deal with a number of currencies and all the different prices, life will be a lot easier with Bukku's Custom Product Prices.

  1. View one of your products from Products -> Items.

  2. Click on the Supplier Prices tab.

  3. Click on + New Price.

  4. Select a foreign currency and set the price accordingly, such as SGD 2.88.

  5. Click Save.

Once the prices are saved, recording a bill in Sing Dollar (S$) will have the price automatically set to S$ 2.88.
