Bukku allows you to create custom fields for Contacts or Transactions, and define functions to manipulate the data stored in those fields. To set up a custom field, you can follow these steps:
1. Go to Control Panel > Custom Fields > +New.
2. New custom fields page appears. Define a Custom Field Name.
3. Choose the Custom Field Type.
Contact - Attach the field to your contacts. The data appearing in transactions will always be controlled from the contact's profile.
Transaction - Directly key in/select the data when you record a transaction.
4. Choose the Data Type.
If you select dropdown as data type, the dropdown option will appear below and you need to add options available for the dropdown.
5. If you want to ensure that the custom field you're creating in Bukku is always mandatory, tick Set as Required checkbox.
6. To determine where the custom field will appear in Bukku, scroll down to the "Show In" section. Here, you can turn on the toggle switch for the transactions where you want the custom field to be displayed.
Note: This setting is only applicable if the custom field type is transaction.
7. Once done, click on Save.
