How do I connect My Samsung Health App?

Use this article to connect your Samsung Health App to Healthy Cities

To connect Samsung Health App to Healthy Cities mobile app, please follow the steps below:

  1. You must have an existing account on Samsung Health App prior to connecting. If you do not have one, please download the official Samsung Health App and create your account first.

  2. For your activity data to be shared, your Samsung Health App must be actively syncing the data on your smartphone. The Healthy Cities app retrieves your data from your Samsung Health App. Data needs to show up in the Samsung Health App before it is available to sync with Healthy Cities.

  3. From your Healthy Cities dashboard, select the menu bars in the top left corner.

  4. Select Settings, and then scroll down and select Device.

  5. Select Samsung Health from the list of devices.

  6. Select Allow when prompted to give Healthy Cities access to your activity data.

  7. Select All permissions when prompted to give Healthy Cities access to your Activity Summary and Steps.

  8. You'll now see a connection confirmation pop up on your screen. Select Ok to confirm.

Congratulations! Your Samsung Health is now connected!

⚠️ Please note: It is important that native Samsung Health App on your device is active and remains in foreground to allow successful syncing of steps with Healthy Cities App.

If your latest activity is not getting reflected in the Healthy Cities app, open and refresh the native Samsung Health App and ensure steps are getting recorded. Following that, Healthy Cities App would show your synced data upon refreshing.

Permissions must be enabled in Samsung Health to continue syncing with Healthy Cities and avoid issues. If you want to disable HealthyCities permissions in Samsung Health, you need to first connect to a different device in your HealthyCities device settings.
