Now that you’ve connected your Samsung Health to Health Connect, learn how to sync steps, distance, and active minutes to Healthy Cities. We’ll also show you how to make sure you’ve got data available to sync.
The Syncing Process
Method 1 : Pull Down Home Screen
This is the fastest and most common way to initiate a sync.
Open the Samsung Health app on your smartphone.
Make sure you are on the main Home tab.
Swipe down from the top of the screen and release.
Method 2: Syncing with Samsung Cloud
This method ensures that the data on your phone is backed up to your Samsung account in the cloud.
Open the Samsung Health app.
Tap the three-dot menu icon (⋮) in the top-right corner.
Select Settings.
Tap on Sync with Samsung Cloud.
On this screen, you can tap Sync now to manually force a sync between the app and your cloud account.
Once you’ve refreshed the Samsung Health app, open your Healthy Cities app and wait to see a ‘Last synced:' message to confirm that you’ve synced to Healthy Cities.
We recommend syncing by refreshing your Samsung Health totals and then opening the Healthy Cities app at least once a day during your challenge. All Healthy Cities challenges have a 24-hour grace period after the challenge ends to give you extra time to sync your final steps, so make sure you sync before the grace period is up.
