How are your fees calculated?

We apply a delivery fee, platform fee, and, on occasion, a small basket fee, which pays your personal shopper and maintains the same-day delivery network.

No Hidden Fees

Your total order cost displayed at checkout includes the price of groceries and all applicable fees to ensure you can make an informed decision on whether or not you wish to complete your order.

A platform fee is charged on the value of in-store products (excluding DRS fees) and includes VAT on the fee at IRE 23%.

Dunnes Stores platform fee: 5.75%

Customers will also be charged a delivery fee ranging from €5.99 - €6.99 (for more information on delivery fees, please refer to our delivery fee guide)

Finally, a small basket fee of €3 is applied to all orders under €40.


Here's an example order cost breakdown If you send a buymie shopper to Dunnes Stores for €40 worth of groceries:

Groceries: €40
Platform Fee 5.75%: €2.30

VAT on Fee 23%: €0.53
Deposit Return Scheme Fees: €1

Delivery Fee: €5.99* (Eco Delivery Slot)

Total: €49.82

What is the platform fee?

This fee goes towards paying your personal shoppers for their time and service while also maintaining our customer and shopper support teams that keep things running smoothly.

The platform fee varies from store to store based on that store's contribution to fulfilment and operational costs.

Rest assured that we're working daily to create better commercial agreements with our partnered stores to reduce the platform fee even further and pass those savings on to our customers. We understand that prices play a big role when customers choose where to shop, so we constantly strive to offer our customers the best value for their time and money.
