How do I respond to a Scan Alert to book a campsite?

Updated over a year ago

SMS Scan Alert

When we find a campsite that matches your scan criteria, we will send you a text message with a link to the campground's reservation website.

(Save our phone number to your phone contacts so you will never miss our scan alerts. Learn how, HERE.)

Website Scan Alerts

You can also access your scan alerts and links in your membership on the My Scans page.

CLICK THE LINK

To reserve the campsite you have scanned for, click the link in the scan alert text or from the Scan details page in your My Scans on our website. This will open a web browser and take you to the campground's reservation website.

Once on the reservation website, please enter search criteria that match your scan to be shown the campsite that you were alerted for. This includes dates and campsite filters. If you forget to enter the same filters, you may see other types of campsites included with the site type you filtered for in your scan. This is the most common reason you might see campsite types that do not match your scan criteria.

Once your search criteria match your scan criteria, you will be shown a list of available campsites. Depending on the size of the campground and other variables on the reservation website, you might need to scroll down the page to locate the campsite that is available and matches your criteria.

Once you locate the campsite, follow the process on the reservation website to select and book it. (Congratulations are in order!)
