How to Use Attendance on CampusKnot (Faculty)

Everything you need to know about the CampusKnot Attendance

Written by Cameron

Taking attendance in CampusKnot gives you a record of who showed up, and you can tie it to participation and points. There are two ways to do it: run attendance on its own, or combine it with a poll.

Option 1: Take attendance as a stand alone activity.

Step 1 Choose 'New Activity'→ 'Take Attendance'

Step 2 Choose a timer length

💡 For the first few days of class, 20 to 25 seconds works well while students learn the routine.

Option 2 Combine a poll publication with attendance

Step 1 Go to 'My Activities'

Step 2 You can choose to combine your already-taken attendance with a poll by clicking on 'Publish to students' under your drafts or scheduled polls

Step 3 Choose how you'd like to combine your attendance

  • Responses count as attendance: any student who submits a response is marked present, wherever they are.

Publish poll modal with Responses count as attendance for today toggle turned on

Only students marked Present can take the poll: only students who checked in with the attendance code can answer, and answering keeps them marked present.
