How Candid works - step by step

Learn how Candid works from start to finish, including how to set up your profile, receive job matches, swipe on roles you’re interested in and start anonymous conversations with hiring teams through to interview and progression.

Candid is designed to take the stress and guesswork out of applying for jobs.

Instead of sending your CV into lots of different companies and waiting to hear back, everything starts with your profile.

Once you’ve signed up and completed your profile, we use the information you’ve shared like your experience, role preferences, salary expectations, location and culture fit to match you with relevant opportunities posted by brands themselves.

🧠 Step 1: Build your profile.

This is where you tell us what you’re looking for. The more complete and accurate your profile is, the better your matches will be.

🔎 Step 2: Get matched with roles.

When a company posts a role that fits your profile, it will appear in your 'Matches to review' section.

👉 Step 3: Show interest (swipe right).

If you like the look of a role, you can swipe right to show interest. This is essentially your way of applying.

💬 Step 4: Start a conversation.

Once you've swiped right a private anonymous chat room opens between you and the hiring team.

This is your chance to ask questions, learn more about the role and get a feel for the company before sharing any personal details.

🤝 Step 5: Progression & interviews.

If things go well, the company may choose to progress you to the next stage. At this point, you can choose to 'reveal your identity' and then your details are shared and interviews are arranged directly between you and the hiring team.
