When you're within range of your cell phone, your smartwatch can now notify you that someone is calling while your phone is locked.
How the notifications work
iOS users:
A notification that your phone is ringing will appear on your smartwatch and you will be able to answer on your phone. To ensure this function is enabled, open the smartwatch app on your phone and verify that the CaptionCall app is installed on your watch.
Android users:
This feature is now live and you don’t need to take any steps to activate it. Next time your phone rings through the CaptionCall app while the screen is locked, you’ll be able to answer or ignore the call from your smartwatch as usual. Then, simply open your phone to access the captions.

CaptionCall and CaptionCall Mobile are available in the United States only. FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS ANYONE BUT REGISTERED USERS WITH HEARING LOSS FROM USING INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP) CAPTIONED TELEPHONES WITH THE CAPTIONS TURNED ON. IP captioned telephone service may use a live operator. The operator generates captions of what the other party to the call says. These captions are then sent to your phone. There is a cost for each minute of captions generated, paid from a federally administered fund. No costs are passed along to individuals who qualify for the service. The CaptionCall phone and CaptionCall Mobile app remain the property of Sorenson in order to provide ongoing support, service, and upgrades.
