We add 9.5% for super (as per parameters: RATE_SUPER = 0.095) and then add a further 3% (again set as a parameter: RATE_WC = 0.03) for workers comp - this is the true staff cost per hour - but is only an estimate for purposes of calculating profit for the week - the actual staff cost is of course calculated in your payroll system and the workers comp by your insurance company.
In the below example you can see that support worker Branchy Workerson worked 1 hr and the Pay column says $39.47. In their Staff Pay Band the hourly rate is $35.
When you add super and workers comp it becomes $39.47 which is why on the surface it appears not to add up but this is how Careflo shows you the true cost so that the profit is more realistic:
