How can I add km's to somebody's shift that has already finished or can only the support worker themselves do that?

Shows you how you can add km claim on behalf of the support worker if they didn't do it themselves

There are two situations that have different handling based on whether the visit is locked or not. A locked visit means that it has already been processed in Finance and will have a little Lock icon on the visit:

Is the visit locked?

Here is how you add km's if the support worker didn't do it already:

  1. If the visit is already locked: add as a payroll adjustment (and charge fee if you are charging the participant). See other articles for info on payroll adjustments and charge fees

  2. If the visit is not locked: See description below, this is the most common scenario.

Adding km's into a visit after it has finished

You can add km's anytime in the visit, either as pre-approved km's meaning the support worker doesn't need to claim it, or manually afterwards. This is normally part of the Finance processing, but can also be done whenever you want. Note that the visit must not be locked (i.e. Finance already processed the visit), then refer to option #1 above.

If the visit has not been Locked (i.e. already processed in Finance), simply go into the visit and add the km's by clicking this button and adding the km's:
