How to add Cevoid Email Widgets with UGC in your marketing emails

Adding Cevoid Email widgets in your marketing emails is super easy and very customizable.


Cevoid offers two kinds of email widgets that allow you to include your UGC posts in emails. the two kinds of email widgets are:

Static email widgets
The content remains the same, and you are free to select exactly what images are displayed in each spot of the grid. This email widget is perfect for newsletters and campaign emails.

Dynamic email widgets
The content is automatically updated and can be used for product-related emails and to show your latest Instagram feed posts. This email widget is perfect for Abandon-cart and Post-purchase emails.

Dynamic email widgets are currently only available for brands using Klaviyo as their email solution


Creating a static email widget

  1. Navigate to Showcase > Email

  2. Click New widget

  3. Click Static email

  4. Select the preferred layout (always change the layout later in the design steps)

  5. Click one of the content boxes

  6. Select the content you want to include

  7. Click Save changes

Pro tip: Try the randomize button to select random posts to fill your widget with!


Creating a dynamic email widget

Some common use cases for Dynamic widgets are:

  • Abandon Cart emails

  • Abandon Checkout emails

  • Post-purchase emails

Dynamic email widgets are currently available for Klaviyo.

  1. Navigate to Showcase > Email

  2. Click New widget

  3. Click Klaviyo

  4. Select your dynamic email widget

  5. Click Save changes

The following kinds of dynamic email widgets are currently available:

Instagram

Dynamically shows the latest approved posts from your Instagram feed

Dynamic products

Dynamically shows posts tagged with products mentioned in your email.
When a customer abandons 2 items in the cart our gallery will automatically fill with UGC posts from these 2 products. If you've designed your gallery to be 3 columns wide the widget will present 6 posts in total, 3 for each product on separate rows.


Style your email widget

Layout

The layout of your widget is often determined by which template you choose in the first step when creating your widget. But you can change this at any time. Click on any of the pre-built templates to switch layout or change style by selecting another layout.

Today we support:

  • Grid (Multiple images with columns and rows)

  • Card (Single image)

Design

In the design tab you can select and modify the style of your widget.

You can style the following part of the email widget

  • Grid Columns

  • Grid Rows

  • Gap between images

  • Aspect ratio of the images

  • Corner roundness

  • What should happen when readers click on a post

  • Post design (include Member's name and or product name and price)


Remember to click Save changes once your are satisfied with your design and styling


Add an email widget to an email

This section is for everyone that is not using Klaviyo as your email solution.

If you are using Klaviyo, please follow this tutorial.

If you are working with several markets, we ensure that URLs, product names and prices are adopted to the market you select.

  1. Click Embed widget

  2. Select the market you are sending the email to

  3. Click Copy

  4. Navigate to your email solution

  5. Add the embed code to the section of your email where you want to embed the widget

  6. Done πŸŽ‰

The embed code can look large and hard to understand. Don't worry about that! It's very compact, optimized, and displays perfectly in all browsers, devices and email clients.
