Export a Message Center query as a CSV (comma-separated values) file when you need to review the records in a spreadsheet or prepare a point-in-time report.
Export the right list
Open Message Center.
Choose the curated view that matches your task.
Set the available product, impact, category, search and date filters.
Check the result count and sort order.
Select Export CSV and wait for the download to complete.
Open the file in Excel or another spreadsheet application and check the headings and records before distributing it.
The export includes the full matching Message Center query, not just the current page. It uses a fixed set of summary columns regardless of which table columns you display. These include product and impact details, source dates, rollout windows (including deferred, government and education windows), Action Required By, and item links. It is not a complete archive of item bodies or history.
Keep the report traceable
Record the export date and keep the filtered ChangePilot URL with your workbook. Include the source ID when adding owners or review notes so colleagues can reopen the current announcement later.
A CSV is a snapshot. It does not refresh when Microsoft changes an announcement, and editing the spreadsheet does not update ChangePilot. Before acting on a deadline from an older export, open the live record and check the source message.
If the download does not appear
Check whether the app still shows Exporting, whether your browser blocked the download, and whether a visible error needs attention. Try a narrower query if a large export fails. Report the page URL, selected view and error text to support if the problem continues.
This guide describes the Message Center export button verified in the beta. Do not assume that an identical export is available for every source or every future report.
Access
Message Center CSV export requires Plus or an activated Plus trial. A Free account can browse the feed but does not get CSV export.
