Schedule email updates for a View

Get Daily, Weekly or Monthly emails when a View or your watch list changes, on the day and at the time you choose.

Written by Tom Arbuthnot

Available on Plus: a saved View, or your watch list, can email you when its items change. Alerts come from hello@changepilot.cloud.

Turn on email alerts for a View

  1. Create a saved View with the source and filters you need.

  2. Open My Views and Emails → Manage Views and Emails.

  3. Find the View and turn on Email alerts.

  4. Choose Daily, Weekly or Monthly.

  5. For Weekly, choose a weekday. For Monthly, choose a day of the month, from the 1st to the 31st.

  6. Choose the hour. Changes save straight away.

The schedule then reads, for example, Monthly on the 15th at 08:00. Select Send test email to check the email reaches you.

Day and time

The day and the hour are in your own time zone, shown next to the controls. Your alert keeps the same local time when the clocks change.

If you choose the 29th, 30th or 31st, the alert goes out on the last day of any shorter month. For example, a View set to the 31st emails you on 30 April and on 28 February.

Monthly alerts set up before the day of the month could be chosen send on the 1st. Pick a new day to change this.

What the email contains

The email lists the items in the View that are new or have changed in a way you would notice since the last alert. If nothing has changed, no email is sent. A long list shows the first items and links to the full View in ChangePilot.

Email alerts for your watch list

Your watch list has its own Email alerts for your watch list control. Open My Items and choose the Watching tab. It works the same way, with the same Daily, Weekly and Monthly choices, and covers every item you watch across all sources.

Turn an alert off

Turn off Email alerts for the View or the watch list. The unsubscribe link in a View or watch-list alert is intended to switch off the ChangePilot alerts category: View alerts, watch-list alerts, any existing legacy digest and Monthly Top 5. Marketing, onboarding and required service emails have separate controls. Check or restore your preference under Settings and Notifications → Notification Centre. The received-email unsubscribe journey is still being verified; contact support if the displayed state disagrees with your choice.

Limits

Email alerts are a Plus feature. Manage Views and Emails shows how many View alerts your plan allows and how many are in use. Turn one off to free a slot.

These schedules are separate from the curated monthly Bulletin and any existing legacy digest. The new portal no longer provides the old product-and-impact digest table. New members choose their own View or watch-list schedules rather than that table.
