Chariot makes it simple to create repeat jobs for existing residential customers by reusing saved contact information. This guide walks you through the process and explains how to best utilize this feature to save time and streamline your operations.

How to Create a Repeat Job for a Residential Customer

Chariot’s Customer Page centralizes jobs, invoices, and payments under one profile, simplifying CRM and repeat customer management.

Locate the Customer Profile

  1. Navigate to the Customers Page or use the Search Jobs Box to find the customer you want to create a job for.

  2. Select the customer profile to open it.

Access the Moving Jobs Tab

  1. In the customer profile, go to the Moving Jobs tab.

    1. Here, you’ll see all previous jobs for this customer, including details like stages and move dates.

Add a Moving Job

  1. Click the Add Moving Job button.

  2. Fill out the required details:

    1. Move Date: The date of the new job.

    2. Type of Moving Service: Specify the service type.

    3. Addresses: Input the relevant pick-up and drop-off addresses.

  3. Existing customer information, such as contact details, will automatically populate, saving you time.

Publish the Lead

  1. Once all details are completed, click Publish Lead to finalize the new job.

  2. The new job will be tied to the customer profile and assigned a unique lead ID.

Where to View the New Job

After publishing the lead:

  • Navigate back to the Moving Jobs tab on the customers page to see the newly created job. You'll also see a new lead page pop us (something most Chariot users should be very familiar with seeing).

  • The job will include details like the move date and current stage (e.g., “Intake and Progress”).

  • You can click on the job link to jump directly into the job details for further updates or changes.

Ideal Use Cases

  1. Repeat Residential Customers: Quickly create jobs for clients who use your services regularly.

  2. Multi-Day Moves: If a customer has staggered or multi-day moving needs, easily add new jobs without re-entering their details.

  3. Lead Tracking: Streamline lead management by linking new jobs to existing profiles.

Best Practices

  • Use the Possible Repeat Customer flag to ensure jobs are always tied to the correct profile.

  • Double-check move details like addresses and service types to ensure accuracy for each new job.

  • Regularly review the Moving Jobs tab to track job progress and stages effectively.
