With LiveSwitch Contact integrated into Chariot, initiating live video calls or sending video recording links to customers is quick and seamless. This guide will walk you through the process and provide insights into what your customers will experience when they use LiveSwitch.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure:
• Your LiveSwitch Contact account is active (paid subscription or trial).
• The integration is set up in your Chariot account.
If you have not set up the LiveSwitch Contact integration set up yet, please reach out to Chariot Support to get the feature set up or refer to our Getting Started with LiveSwitch Contact Guide.
Initiate a LiveSwitch Contact Video from Chariot
Open a job in Chariot and navigate to the Inventory tab.
Click on the Videos section.
Select the Send Video Link button.
Selecting the Video Type
After clicking Send Video Link, you’ll see two options:
Live Video Call Between Me and the Customer
Start a real-time video session where you can interact with the customer.
Video Recording from Customer
Send a link that allows the customer to record a video of their space at their convenience.
Once you select an option, the link will be sent to the customer via email and text message.
What the Customer Experiences
When the customer clicks the link, they’ll be directed to LiveSwitch Contact’s recording interface. The customer will be prompted to join your video call or send a recording by accessing their microphone and camera. Make sure to tell them to click ALLOW.
After the customer clicks 'Allow' they will enter the call with you (if on a live video call) or start their recording, and voila, you are good to go. It's that easy. Here’s what they can expect:
Live Video Call Experience
Customers are prompted to allow microphone and camera access to join the live call.
The interface includes:
Mute/unmute microphone button.
Camera flip option to toggle between front and back cameras.
End Call button to exit the session.
Video Recording Experience
Customers will see a simple interface with:
A Record button to start recording their video.
A Microphone toggle to mute/unmute audio.
A Camera flip option to switch between cameras.
Status indicators to ensure their video is recording properly.
Once they finish, they’ll need to wait until the video fully uploads, indicated by a 100% upload progress bar
Device Compatibility
The LiveSwitch Contact tool works on any device with a camera and microphone, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
