Step 1: Tell the Chariot team you want it turned on
Once we enable the feature for your account, you’ll see a new Marketing tab under Reports → Marketing in Chariot.
(There’s nothing for you to install yet — just let us know you want access.)
Step 2: Connect Google Ads and/or Meta Ads (~1 minute)
You’ll click through a quick, secure authorization flow.
No passwords are shared with Chariot.
Connecting your accounts allows Chariot to:
Pull in your ad spend
Track campaign performance
Send revenue conversions back to Google/Meta
Launch search ads in your account (if you opt into this)
This is what powers accurate tracking and smarter optimization later on.
Step 3: Add the Chariot Tracking Pixel (~5 minutes)
This is the only slightly technical step — but it’s simple!
You have two ways to install the pixel:
Option A: Google Tag Manager (usually fastest)
Add a new Custom HTML tag
Paste in the code the setup menu gives you
Publish your changes
Option B: Add it directly to your website
Paste the snippet above the
</header>tagMost platforms (Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow, etc.) let you do this in Settings → Custom Code, without touching the backend
Developers can usually install this in under 3 minutes
We include instructions for all major website builders.
Step 4: Wait 24–48 hours for data to appear
Once your pixel is installed and connected, Chariot will start receiving data from your website and ads.
Soon you’ll see:
Ad spend
Clicks
Leads
Booked jobs
Revenue tied to campaigns
ROAS
Source breakdowns across Ads, LSAs, Organic, Referral, and more
As more events come in, your dashboard becomes more complete and accurate.
Step 5: Optional — Launch Google Search Ads Through Chariot
If you want to run ads directly inside Chariot:
Go to the Marketing tab
Click the gear icon
Select “Use AI to generate a Google Ads campaign”
Follow the prompts
AI drafts the initial campaign, and a human ads expert reviews and adjusts everything before launch.
Campaigns usually go live within two business days.
