This article walks through how to connect a Google account to Chariot and configure it for two-way email syncing.
The two-way integration allows you to:
Send emails from your Gmail account through Chariot
Sync customer replies back into Chariot
View full email threads inside the Messages tab
Step 1: Connect Your Gmail Account
To link your Google account:
Go to Settings.
Click Integrations.
Select Connect Gmail Account.
Choose the Google account you want to link.
Accept the requested permissions.
Once completed, your account will be successfully connected.
Step 2: Set a Default Sending Email (Optional)
If you would like all outbound emails sent from Chariot to go through your connected Gmail account, you can set it as the default sender.
To do this:
Go to Settings.
Click the General tab.
Open Basic Company Setup.
Locate the list of integrated email accounts.
Select the email address you want to use as the default sender.
Once selected, every outbound email from Chariot will be sent using that Gmail address.
How Two-Way Sync Works
When emails are sent through a connected Gmail account:
Messages are delivered from your actual email address.
Customer replies sync back into Chariot.
Conversations can be viewed inside the Messages tab on the lead record.
This ensures all communication stays centralized and visible within the platform.
Summary
By connecting your Gmail account and optionally setting it as your default sender, you enable:
Outbound emails from your own address
Automatic syncing of customer replies
Full email thread visibility inside Chariot
Once your account is linked, you’re ready to use two-way email integration.
