Managing Notification Settings

After you've enabled push notifications, you can manage your push notification settings by pressing the menu in the top right and choosing "Settings".

Within the Settings screen you can enable or disable push notifications for your device. You can also control the types of push notifications you are able to receive. The specific push notifications available to you will depend on your user role and permissions.

Admin vs Staff Permissions

Admins can get notifications for many things, including actions taken on Bookings, Proposals, Leads and Questionnaires.

Staff permissions are limited to only Staff Assigned notifications:

Troubleshooting

The option for push notifications is grayed out

If the option for push notifications is visible but grayed out, it means that Check Cherry does not have permission to send your device push notifications. Follow the instructions for your platform to grant permission:

Granting Permissions on iOS

To allow this, open the "Settings" app, go to "Notifications", find "Check Cherry" in the list of Apps, and make sure the "Allow Notifications" toggle is enabled.

Granting Permissions on Android

Press the gear icon in the menu at the top right and choosing "Settings", then "Notifications", and "App Notifications". Find the Check Cherry app in the list of apps and make sure the slider is set to the right to enable notifications from this app.

I don't see the option for push notifications on my device

Push Notifications require Check Cherry Mobile 1.6.0 or later to be installed. Visit the App Store for your platform in order to ensure you have the latest version installed.

Tip: If your app has stopped sending notifications, uninstalling and reinstalling the app may fix the issue. Be sure to log back in and enable notifications after you reinstall.

Do Not Disturb for iPhone

Both Android and iPhone operating systems have Do Not Disturb features that can prevent Check Cherry from sending notifications even when the app is set to allow all notifications.

On an Apple device, go to your Settings and select Focus. Check if the Share across devices setting is enabled; if you have DND enabled on one of your Apple devices, and this setting is enabled, the do not disturb setting will apply to all of your devices.

Do Not Disturb for Android

Android's Do Not Disturb feature may be listed as Modes and Routines. Click on the Settings menu, then select Modes and Routines, then check the routines you have active to ensure that none of those are actively suppressing your notifications.
