This article explains what the "Item Element" function is and how you can use it.

Let's say you are filling out a form while you are out in the field. You observe a deviation you wish to register, and you wish to give a task to someone that can fix the deviation. If you use/have added the 'Item Element' functionality in your form, you can do just that.

The 'Item Element' function will show as a plus icon (+) along with the text you choose for a title. When you click on the plus icon you can start creating one or several tasks.

How to use the 'Item Element' functionality:

  1. Click on the plus icon (+) where it says 'Item Element' on your left-hand side.

  2. The 'Item Element' will appear in the middle of the screen, click on it.

  3. Give the 'Item Element' button a relevant title, e.g. "Deviation"

  4. Fill out additional information in the 'Info' field if necessary (this is a tooltip field to write instructions in)

  5. Check-off 'Include title in PDF' if you want the title to show in the PDF version of the form/checklist report.

  6. You can add a predefined Item (task) title if you wish

  7. You can also add a predefined Item description

  8. Creating pre-defined 'Tags' is also an option, and this is highly recommended because tags make it easier to use filters, make reports, and for keeping track of your work.

NB! To be able to make Forms templates, you need to have the 'Forms Pro' module activated on your company's license. If you are interested in this functionality, please contact support for more information.
