Speed matters: 75% of orders are placed with quotes received within 24 hours of the request. But this can be hard if you are on the road or visiting customers. That's why ChemCloud has enabled price lists and instant quotes for your customers.

In this article, you'll learn how to send a price list to a customer and which can then generate instant quotes using Chemcloud.

Step-by-step instructions

Step 1: Start by clicking on the price list.

You'll see the existing prices for your customers.

Step 2: Add a price

Each price has a few key elements:

  • Product & Pack:

  • Buyer: You have two options here:

    • Available to all buyers: A price available to all customers on ChemCloud that are not 'Connected'

    • Specific customer: This price is only available to this customer

  • Stock type: Ex-Stock or Full Container. If the price is particularly good you can market it as a 'Hot Deal'

  • Valid to: The price will no longer appear to the customer after this date.

  • Incoterm: If you are providing a price to a specific customer, this should be FIS or DDP to that customer's Incoterm Port.

If you need to upload multiple prices at once, you have the option to do a bulk upload using Excel. This process is explained on a separate page.

Step 3: Send Price List to customers

To notify your customer, such as Hector's Humectants, about the live prices, send an email directly from Chemcloud. You can choose the customers it sends to, and preview the mailer as well.

What does the buyer's experience look like?

Price List Mailer and Price List in Supplier Shopfront

A customer who receives the price list mailer will be taken straight to the price list in your supplier's shopfront. From there they can order a specific product.

Instant Quote and Add to Cart

This will generate an instant quote for the customer. If they proceed to purchase order, the customer can add other products with a price to their order.
