Do you often collaborate across purchasing, QA and the supply chain teams? You can now do this on ChemCloud - with internal notes and @mentions.

There are three main use cases for leaving notes and mentioning your colleagues:

  1. Supply Chain asks Purchasing for a delivery update | Supply chain wants to know the eta of an incoming delivery, but the purchasing team has the contact with the supplier. Centralising notes on a delivery means everyone is kept in the loop.

  2. Purchasing collaborates internally regarding a purchase | Multiple team members review quotes. Leave a note in a request tell the purchasing team to place an order.

  3. Purchasing asks the QA team to start an approval | The Purchasing team wants to see if a new material can work in their formulations. They enter the product details - then ask the QA team to start the approval process.

Use Case 1 - Supply Chain asks Purchasing for a delivery update

You can add notes to deliveries from the table view. This can be a note that others in your organisation can see for context. Importantly you can @mention anyone in your team - and they will receive an email with your note!

Use Case 2 - Supply Chain asks Purchasing for a delivery update

Multiple team members review quotes. Leave a note in a request tell the purchasing team to place an order.

You can see notes you have left in the Activity panel on the request page.

Use Case 3. Purchasing asks the QA team to start an approval

The Purchasing team wants to see if a new material can work in their formulations. They enter the product details - then ask the QA team to start the approval process.

Get started by adding a note to a colleague - you will be BCC'ed on the email - try it out!
