If you work in Procurement or Purchasing, you need to know which materials are approved before placing orders - and you need an easy way to get new products approved by your QA team. ChemCloud makes both simple.

Your main needs

Procurement and Purchasing teams typically need to:

  • Know what's approved - Quickly check if a supplier's product is approved before ordering

  • Pass new products to QA - Hand off new materials to Quality for approval without endless email chains

  • Keep colleagues informed - Communicate with QA about approval status and next steps

Key features for Procurement / Purchasing

Approved Materials - See at a glance which supplier products are approved for each raw material. Filter by approval status to find what's pending.

@Mentions and Notes - Add notes to any approval and @mention colleagues. They'll receive an email with your message, keeping everyone in the loop without leaving ChemCloud.

Request Quote - Once a material is approved, request quotes directly from the approved supplier with one click.

Typical workflow

  1. You find a new supplier product you want to use

  2. Create an approved material record in ChemCloud with status "R&D Not Started"

  3. @mention your QA colleague: "Can you review this for approval?"

  4. QA updates the status as they progress through their review

  5. Once approved, you can request quotes from that supplier
