At this time, Chexy requires all users to have a Canadian mobile number to complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) and access their account. We currently use SMS-based MFA as our only verification method, so a Canadian cell number is needed to receive your login code and create an account.
We know this can be limiting, especially if you're travelling or no longer have access to a Canadian number. Our team is actively working on adding more flexible MFA options, like email verification and authenticator apps, but those aren’t available just yet.
If you already have an active Chexy account and are currently travelling or living temporarily outside Canada, you won’t be able to log in unless you can still access your Canadian number. If that’s the case and you need help pausing your account until you return, please reach out to our support team. We’re happy to help.
Thanks so much for your patience as we work toward broader access and more secure login options.
