No audio from the studio screen — what should I check?

Track down where sound is failing — the box, the screen, or the sound system — in order.

CicloHub sends audio through HDMI to your screen — and from there to your studio sound system. So sound can fail at three points: the box, the screen, or the sound system.

Check in this order

1. CicloHub / Android TV

  • Use the CicloHub remote to check the volume isn't muted or at zero.

  • Restart the CicloStudio app if recent changes haven't taken effect.

2. Screen / TV

  • If audio is routed through HDMI to the TV → TV speakers / soundbar, check the TV's volume and HDMI audio output.

  • Some TVs have an audio output setting (HDMI ARC vs Optical vs TV speakers) — make sure it matches your wiring.

3. Studio sound system

  • If the studio sound system is connected via HiFi digital audio, check that connection and the amp/receiver volume.

  • Try a different source (a phone connected to the same input) to confirm whether the sound system itself is working.

Best-practice setup

  • Set the CicloHub output volume to a fixed comfortable level (e.g. 70%).

  • Adjust the rest with your studio sound system — that gives consistent quality and avoids clipping.

Alternative: rider headphones

Music can also be delivered directly to riders' phones via the CicloZone app. Riders use their own headphones — useful as a backup or for early-morning quiet hours.
