Does my studio need its own insurance to run CicloZone classes?

Why your studio still needs its own insurance — CicloZone is software, not your premises or bikes.

Yes. CicloZone is a cloud software platform — anything that happens in the physical studio is the studio's responsibility, including the insurance you'd already need for an indoor cycling business.

What this means

  • CicloZone is software. We provide the platform that runs your classes and tracks rider data. We do not own, maintain, or insure your bikes, your premises, or your in-room operations.

  • The studio is responsible for the safe operation of its indoor cycling environment — the bikes, the room, the staff, the riders.

  • Carry the insurance you'd carry for any indoor cycling studio: public liability, professional indemnity for your instructors, employer's liability where applicable, and equipment / premises insurance.

This is in line with our Terms & Conditions, which state CicloZone is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or coaching-related issues that occur within the studio.

CicloZone's liability under the Terms

Our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid in the 30 days immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. This is set out in section 8 of the Studio Terms.

What we can do

  • Provide technical reliability of the software.

  • Provide support during standard business hours (Mon–Fri 09:00–17:00 GMT).

  • Provide how-to material and Education Portal Course 1 free for invited instructors so your team is trained on the platform.

Talk to your insurer

If you're new to running an indoor cycling studio and unsure about cover, speak to your insurance broker. Most studios already hold the right policies for class-based fitness operations.
