No — CicloZone isn't a GPS-route or virtual-world riding game. There's no map to follow, no course to steer, and no avatar riding a track. Every class plays against a full-screen background — Alpine Road, Night City, Vortex and others — with the class profile and leaderboard on the studio screen. The focus is coached, power-based training rather than following a virtual course.
What riders see on screen
A background — a full-screen scene behind the class profile. Live classes use one of seven: Alpine Road, Desert, Forest Trail, Mountain Road, Night City, Spaceship and Vortex. Free Style classes use one of four: Night City, Desert, Vortex and Spaceship. Virtual classes use a deliberately plain background so the on-screen instructor stays clearly visible. The Rider Dials on each rider's own phone or tablet — live power, heart rate, RPM, the class profile and a live COL% execution graph. See "What are the Rider Dials?"
Can I choose a specific scene, like Alpine Road?
Yes — Alpine Road is one of the seven Live backgrounds. How you get a specific one depends on the class type:
Virtual and Live classes — the background is fixed to the class. You get Alpine Road by choosing a class that uses it. Some classes are offered in several background variations — the same session against different scenes.
Free Style classes — you choose the background when you schedule the class, and your instructor can change it from their phone shortly before the class starts.
What you can't do is ride a background as a route, with distance, gradient and steering. See "What backgrounds are available?" for the full list and how each one is chosen.
Personalised intensity for every rider
The same class is personalised to each rider. Targets scale to each rider's own FTP (Functional Threshold Power), so a class is appropriately challenging for a newcomer and for a strong cyclist at the same time — everyone rides the same session at their own level.
Make it your own
Studios can also film and upload their own Virtual classes, with their own instructor, so the on-screen experience reflects your own brand. This is a paid add-on and currently in beta — see "Can my studio film and upload its own Virtual classes?"
