These settings allow you to control which events appear on your calendar based on their categories.

Allowed Categories: Use this field when you only want events with specific categories to appear on your calendar. Any event that does not have at least one of the categories listed in the Allowed Categories field will be blocked.

Blocked Categories: Use this field to prevent events with specific categories from appearing on your calendar. If an event has a category listed in the Blocked Categories field, it will not appear, even if it also has a category listed in the Allowed Categories field.

Important: Be careful when adding categories to these lists. An event must have an allowed category to appear, and a blocked category will always prevent the event from showing.

Parent and Child Categories

Do not add a parent category to the Blocked Categories list unless you want to block all child categories underneath it.

When you add a child category to an event, the event automatically inherits all of the parent categories above it.

For example, if you add Stand Up to an event, the event will automatically also have Comedy and Performing Arts as categories, even if you did not manually add those categories.

Because of this, blocking Comedy would also block events categorized as Stand Up.
