Mira Insights & Alerts

How Mira proactively surfaces insights and flags important changes in your financial data

Mira Insights & Alerts

Mira doesn't just answer questions — she's actively watching your financial data in the background and will surface insights and alerts when something important happens or changes. This means you don't have to constantly check your numbers to stay on top of your business.

What are Mira Insights?

Insights are observations Mira surfaces based on patterns and changes she detects in your data. They're designed to give you context and help you understand what's actually happening in your business — not just what the numbers say, but what they mean.

Examples of insights Mira might surface:

  • A revenue account that's trending significantly above or below forecast

  • An expense category that's grown faster than your revenue over the past 90 days

  • A month where your gross margin dipped outside of its normal range

  • A positive trend — like three consecutive months of improving net income

Insights are presented in plain language so they're easy to act on, even without a finance background.

What are Mira Alerts?

Alerts are time-sensitive notifications that flag something requiring your attention — typically a meaningful change, threshold crossed, or anomaly detected in your data.

Examples of alerts you might receive:

  • Your projected cash balance is forecast to drop below a threshold in the next 30 days

  • Actual expenses came in significantly higher than forecast this month

  • A key metric (like gross margin or runway) has changed materially since the last sync

  • Your accounting data hasn't synced in longer than expected

Where do I see insights and alerts?

Mira surfaces insights and alerts in a few places:

  • The Dashboard — Key insights and active alerts are shown here so you see them as soon as you log in.

  • The Mira chat — You can ask Mira directly: "Do you have any alerts for me?" or "What should I be paying attention to right now?"

  • Email notifications — Depending on your notification settings, Mira can send alerts to your inbox so you're notified even when you're not logged in.

Acting on an insight or alert

Every insight or alert Mira surfaces links directly to the relevant part of your Clockwork account — whether that's your Financial Model, Cash Flow, or a specific metric. From there you can dig in, ask Mira follow-up questions, or take action like adjusting a forecast assumption or updating an invoice.
