The Settings page controls how Moderation behaves for your whole account: your quota usage, how results are saved as metadata, and how rejections work. This article explains every setting.
Quota Usage
At the top of Settings, you'll see how many Moderation Actions you've used out of your plan's limit - for example, "250 of 10,000 moderation actions" - with a progress bar and the percentage used (for example, "3% used").
As you approach your limit you'll see a status label: Getting low, Almost out, and finally Quota reached. When you need more, the "Need more Moderation Actions?" line has a Contact Us button that opens Cloudinary support.

Save Moderation Results to Structured Metadata
Save results automatically
When this toggle is on, moderation results are saved to each asset automatically after moderation - and the manual "Save Metadata" button on run pages is disabled, since there's nothing left to do by hand.
When it's off (the default), nothing is written to your assets until you select Save Metadata to Assets on a run.
Affects: runs started after you change it. Runs already in progress keep the setting they started with.
Applies to: your whole account, for everyone who uses Moderation.
Use custom fields
By default, Moderation saves results to its own fields in your Cloudinary account. Turn this on to map results to your own structured metadata fields instead — useful when your organization already has naming conventions or existing fields that workflows depend on.
When enabled, a Custom field mapping table appears with three rows:

For each row, select one of your existing metadata fields (the dropdown only offers fields of the right type) and set the Display name you want shown across the Moderation app. Changes save automatically as you fill them in. Don't see the field you need? Click Create one in Metadata settings - or, if you're not an admin, ask an admin to create one.
Things to know:
Each field can be mapped only once - you'll see an error if two rows use the same External ID.
If a mapped field is later deleted in Cloudinary, the row is flagged: "This field no longer exists. Please clear and re-select."
Turning the toggle off clears all your mappings and returns to Cloudinary's default fields. The app asks you to confirm: Turn off and clear or Keep mappings. This cannot be undone.
Rejection Reason
"Require a reason when rejecting assets" - when this toggle is on, moderators are prompted for a reason every time they reject an asset - overriding any moderator's Skip this step next time choice in the rejection dialog. When it's off, the dialog still opens, but each moderator can select Skip this step next time to reject immediately from then on.
