Use Sequences to add a Membership

You can now use Sequences to automatically add a Membership to a contact.

Updated over 4 years ago
  1. To create a new sequence, go to Sequences > Add New Sequence.

2. Select your Sequence trigger. In this example we will show you how to add a new membership when another membership is ending using the Sequence trigger 'Membership Expiry'.

You can use other triggers to add a membership, based on your circumstances however we do not recommend using the trigger 'Member Added' or 'Membership Added' (or trust us, you're going to have a bad time).

3. Select the option for Membership on the left hand side. It will appear with a list of your memberships. Select the one you'd like to add and drag it into the blank space indicated. Please note that this membership will be added to every contact who is enrolled in this Sequence.

4. Once you have added the Membership to the Sequence, add your conditions. In this example, when our members are about to finish their 6 Week Challenge (which they paid for upfront) we are rolling their membership over to an ongoing membership. This means that we added the condition that their Membership name is 6 Week Challenge, and we have selected to add the Membership 2 days before their 6 Week Challenge expires.

5. If you would like to, you can add additional steps to send an email or text message to notify the member that the membership has been added. You can do this on the left hand side by Selecting the option for Email or SMS and dropping it into the blank space below the membership that has been added. Follow the same steps to add conditions for when it will be sent, and restrict which members it will be sent to.
