To offer Apple Pay and Klarna payment options in Coachway, you will need to add Coachway’s domain to your Stripe settings. This allows Stripe to securely verify payments made through your platform.
Before You Begin
To enable Apple Pay, you must add the following domain to Stripe:
You also need access to the Stripe Dashboard for the account connected to Coachway
Step 1: Open Stripe Settings
Log in to your Stripe Dashboard
Click the Settings in the top right corner
Step 2: Go to Payment Method Domains
Open "Payments"
Use the search bar in Settings
Search for “Payment method domains”
Open the section
Step 3: Add Coachway’s Domain
Click Add a new domain
Enter: app.coachway.io
Click Save
Confirm the Set Up
Once it is saved, you will be directed back to the domain overview. Make sure app.coachway.io appears in your list of domains.
If everything is set up correctly, Apple Pay and Klarna will now be available as a payment option for supported clients and devices.
A Note on Payment Methods
Apple Pay and other payment options (like Klarna) are managed within Stripe and may vary depending on your client’s location and device. Enabling them gives your clients a smoother and more flexible checkout experience.
Note that the payment methods available to your clients - Klarna, SEPA, and other local payment methods are live in the checkout flow.
This applies to all new payment links sent out going, so your clients have even more flexibility when signing up. Nothing extra to set up on your end if you already have Apple Pay and Klarna enabled in your Stripe account. The new options will simply show up automatically at checkout.
Apple Pay does not show at checkout
Apple Pay only appears in Safari, or Chrome on an iPhone or Mac - meaning on a device that has a card in Apple Wallet.
In other browsers, in a private window, or on a device without a Wallet card, Stripe hides it. When you test checkout yourself, use a device with a card in Wallet.
If it's still missing, check in Stripe that Apple Pay is turned on under Settings → Payment methods, and that app.coachway.io shows as active under Payment method domains.
Good to know
How about SEPA Direct Debit & UK Direct Debit (Bacs)
How about SEPA Direct Debit & UK Direct Debit (Bacs)
SEPA Direct Debit works for payments in euros, so only turn it on in Stripe if you charge in EUR. UK Direct Debit (Bacs) is not supported yet, so clients paying in GBP use a card or a digital wallet like Apple Pay or Google Pay. Bank transfers are not processed through Coachway, but you can still take one outside Coachway if a client prefers.
Do international clients cost more?
Do international clients cost more?
Coachway's 2.4% is the same wherever your client is. Stripe usually charges a bit more for cards issued outside your country, and if you charge in a currency other than your Stripe payout currency, Stripe adds a conversion fee. The client's own bank may also charge a small fee. See Stripe's pricing page for current rates.
