Managing Your Client's Meal Plan

How to assign, edit, export, and switch between meal plans for your clients.

Written by Malene Malmkjær

Assigning a Meal Plan

  1. Go to the client's profile → Nutrition tab

  2. Click ⋯ Actions in the top-right corner

  3. Choose one of two options:

    1. Create new plan - build a meal plan from scratch for this specific client. You set the calories, macro split, meals, and the system generates recipe suggestions.

    2. Create from template - duplicate an existing meal plan template and customize it for the client. This is the fastest way if you have base templates ready at different calorie levels.

Once created, the plan shows on the client's Food tab and in their app.

Switching Between Plans

A client can have multiple meal plans assigned, for example a training day plan and a rest day plan, or different plans for different phases.

Use the dropdown in the top-left of the Nutrition tab to switch between them. The one marked Live is what the client currently sees in the app.

Editing a Live Plan

Click Edit Plan in the top-right corner to make changes to the current plan. You can adjust calories, macro split, meal distribution, and recipes per meal. Click Update when done.

After editing, the plan shows as Local changes until you publish it. The client still sees the previous version until you push the update.

Meal Plan Statuses:

Draft: the plan exists as a template but has not been assigned or published.

Local changes: you have made edits that the client has not seen yet. Publish to push the update live.

Live: the client sees this version in their app right now.

Saving a Client's Plan as a Template

If you are happy with a client's plan and setup: Click ⋯ Actions → Save as template. This saves the client's current plan - including calories, macros, meal distribution, and recipes - as a reusable template you can assign to other clients.

Generating a PDF

Click ⋯ Actions → Generate PDF to export the client's meal plan. You can download it directly or upload it to the client's Vault so they have offline access.

Unassigning vs. Deleting

Unassign Plan: removes the plan from the client but keeps it in your system. In other words, unassigning a mea lplan puts it back to Draft. Useful if you want to reassign it later or switch to a different plan.

Delete Plan: permanently removes the plan. This cannot be undone.

Common Questions

My client has multiple plans - which one do they see?

The ones marked as Live. If you want to switch them to a different plan or remove one plan, set the new one to Live or Unassign the plan.

I edited the plan but my client still sees the old version

You have local changes that haven't been published yet. Open the plan and publish to push the update.

Can I duplicate a plan from one client to another?

Yes: save the plan as a template first (Actions → Save as template), then assign it to the new client via Create from template.

Why is Create from template empty?

Meal-plan templates only show in Create from template after you Publish them in your nutrition library. A saved draft stays in the library but is not selectable until published. Separately, the client's assigned plan must be Live for them to see it in the app.
